1. I think Winston means a place with no darkness is a place where there are no secrets and all feelings are hidden. i think when he refers to darkness he is refering to all the harsh living of violence and no remembrance.(past)
2.about twenty or thirty a week.
3.To me this sentance means that nothing is your own, you own nothing.Being that Big Brother is watching you everywhere you are everywhere you go, nothing belongs to you, not even most of your thoughts. he says a a few cubic centimetes in your skull, and i think he means that they have even taken over your thoughts and dreams. You become brainwashed into their ways and think everything they are doing is correct/right/just fine.

1.When winston refers to"the place where there is no darkness"he might mean a place where you are free to express your slelf or thougs, and you are not worring what's going to happen if you say some thing . 2.There were twenty to thirty bombs that were falling on london every week. 3.To me it means that don't own because you can losse it any time the only thing you have is what is leaved of it in your brian.

Winston had a dream where he heard obrien say "we shall meet in a place where there is no darkness" while they where in a pitch black room (No Mo). This could mean that obrien could be feeling the same way as winston (no mo) when it comes to not likeing the government (Big Brother). And although they might not be able to openly discuss the matter in the time being, one day the shadow may be lifted and they will have the freedom to speak to one another without "darkness" surrounding them. My only problem with this is that there is darkness everywhere, and there always will be. There will always be curruption, and negative things to balance out with the positive in the world. One of my favorite quotes is from a video game but it is true. "The closer you get to the light the larger your shadow becomes." So no matter what it is impossible to be in a place with no darkness.
According to Winston there are between twenty and thirty bombs being dropped on London weekly. (Yet the ministrie buildings remain untouched, even being the largest buildings).
In 1984 the government ownes and controls everything. So all a person has left is their mind. A person can think whatever they want, and have unlimitted freedom in their own minds. This is why they have the thought police in the book, to try and eliminate the last freedom the people have left and have absolute control forever. We read earlyer that there where still people who sided and joined Goldstein and so long as people still thought freely it would never end. Even in our own society our thoughts are influenced and even controlled by media and society. Only those strong enough and focused enough can think freely without being influenced by the controling elements in our lives. Those few are the ones who hve potential of controling others, and doing great things if the plan correctly. People like this are people we know that are thoughtful, wise, well informed, and potentially some of the most daingerous people we will meet. It is worse to meet an unarmed genious than a dummy with a gun. At lest with the dummy you know they are probably going to shoot, so you can plan something (mabe). But you do not know what the other person is capeable of.

When Winston refers to "the place where there is no darkness",I think he means a place where everyonne has there individual freedom.whee there not being watchby the government loke some organism under a miroscope(the telescreens and thought police.)Also where people wont have the fear of being shot in the back of the neck for a funny gesture or look on there face.
There are about 20-30 bombs hiting the city every day.The buildings being hit are probably small, unimportant, and most likly abandund ones.
The few cubic centimeters inside there skull that they own is there brain, but because the government found a way to control what they think they only raely ownthe part that controls motor function. With the exception of those who actualy think, like Winston.
It seems ender is going around hiting people whith keys.

1. I think that a place with no darkness means a place where Wiston is not the only man on earth as the book was going to be named and a place where he knows that he is not the renegade to the party in power.
2. From twenty to thirty bombs were falling each week.
3.This statement means to me that every thing that you do in 1984 the only place that you can think for your own with out the thought police persecuting you was to think your thoughts and that was the only place where you could not getting in trouble for saying the wrong thing.

1.I thought a place of darkness meant a place where secerts and feeling are kept but Wiston feels that the government should give you that freedom of speech and thought.
2.About twenty-thirty bombs a week
3.To me this sentence means that in the world of 1984 you are basically brainwashed to have none of your own thoughts meaning someone is always watching you
